Shaping future engineers: GARANT collaborates with RWTH Aachen University

Lengerich - Close collaboration between industry and academia plays a key role in driving innovation and ensuring long-term competitiveness in mechanical engineering. Against this background, GARANT is working with RWTH Aachen University within a structured, project-based format in the Master’s program in Product Development.

The format enables students to work on real industrial challenges over two semesters, combining academic methods with practical application.

In this collaboration, GARANT takes on an active role as an industry partner. This includes defining and presenting the initial task, providing continuous technical input throughout the project, and contributing to regular exchange formats such as design reviews. The project is supported internally by GARANT’s Research & Development department.

This week, the student group visited GARANT in Lengerich for an on-site meeting. The visit provided an opportunity to gain insights into the company and to continue the exchange in a direct, face-to-face setting.

The strong interest in the project and the large number of students who chose to participate highlight the relevance of such collaboration formats between industry and academia. For GARANT, the partnership offers access to highly motivated young talent and fresh perspectives. For the students, it provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial environment.

GARANT looks forward to continuing the collaboration with RWTH Aachen University and further strengthening the connection between academic research and industrial practice.
